Chromate Conversion Coating
Arrow Cryogenics offers Trivalent Chromate Conversion coating for aluminum that meets specification:
MIL-DLT-5541 Type II Class1A and Class 3
The product we use is licensed from the U.S. Navy under U.S. patents
What is Chromate Conversion Coating?
Arrow Cryogenics chromate conversion coating is a chemical immersion process. The clear iridescent film that is produced on the surface is virtually unmeasurable. Chromate conversion coating provides excellent corrosion protection at a low cost and is also used as a base for paint, lacquer, or rubber bonding.
Trivalent Chromate Conversion coating is used as a replacement for hexavalent conversion coating.
Because of the new governmental policies that restrict the amount of the hexavalent that can be used, trivalent chromate conversion coating is used as a replacement.
The conversion coating that Arrow Cryogenics offers is hexavalent free and is compliant with RoHS and WEEE directives.
